2008: #22 – Living Dead in Dallas (Charlaine Harris)
Book #22 was Living Dead in Dallas, the 2nd book in Charlaine Harris’ Southern Vampires series. The back of the book reads:
When a vampire asks Sookie Stackhouse to use her telepathic skills to find another missing vampire, she agrees under one condition: the bloodsuckers must promise to let the humans go unharmed. Easier said than done.
A pretty good second book, but not quite as good as the first. This one seemed like a lot more action and less about Sookie herself. I definitely enjoyed it, though, and I will be continuing the series, without a doubt!
Page count: 291 | Word count: 79,289
2007: A Death in Belmont (Sebastian Junger)
2006: A Long Way Down (Nick Hornby)
2005: The Bastard (John Jakes)
This might sound a bit said, but I have grown tired of Charlaine Harris. Her last book of the Harper Connelly Series was a let down. 🙁
Living Dead was okay; a definite introduction to the fellowship of the sun and a prelude to the were world.

I didn’t like this book as much as I did the first book. For me I thought that the action in the book wasn’t as good, and I had a lot of unanswered questions when I finished reading it. But then I read book 3 and so far it is my favorite of the series. I just started book 4 and the books are really picking up for me now.
