2010: #Readathon – Hour One
I’m getting a late start, but I’m almost ready to go. Cats have been fed, the book I needed to mail is in the mailbox, the couch has been cleaned off, and I’m working on breakfast (cinnamon-sugar toast and a glass of milk).
Here’s my Hour One Meme:
Where are you reading from today?
My house, mostly. And in my house, probably on my couch, mostly. I may sit outside for a little while this afternoon, after it warms up. Some reading might be done in the car, cuz we’re debating whether to go down to the International Fair in Blacksburg for lunch. And some might be done in Walmart via audiobook cuz I think I’m going to need to go grocery shopping.
3 facts about me …
I usually don’t read a lot on the weekends. The bulk of my reading is done at lunchtime during the week and before I go to bed at night.
I have over 700 unread books in my house. PROBLEM!
I have two cats that will probably ignore me most of the day.
How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours?
I have no set amount. I guess the number is 700+!
Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)?
No set goals, other than to read as much as I can stand.
I think I’m ready to get started! Here are my starting places in all my books:
So Much For That: pg 16/433
Murder at the Vicarage (Kindle): Location 3185/3601 (88%)
Inner Harbor (audio): 4:58/8:54
Characters, Emotion & Viewpoint: pg 112/225
Official start time: 8:40AM!
Good luck! 🙂 Sounds like a great day of reading ahead!
Whoa! Over 700 unread books! I think I’m only at 400…you’re almost double that!
Okay, I’ve got a cheer for you:
It’s time to read for the readathon!
Time to get your reading game on!
Gooooooooo Jaime!
Have a great day of reading!
Have a great Readathon!
I can relate with the problem of unread/read books around the house. I’m currently in the midst of a major purge at my house and I’m bound and determined to cut down on the number of books I have.
