2010: #Readathon – The Un-Plan, and a Hero
So the 24-Hour Read-a-Thon is tomorrow, and truthfully, I have no plan. I know I won’t make it the full 24 hours, I’ll be lucky if I make it past midnight, but I’ll do the best I can. I’ll probably go grocery shopping in the afternoon, but I usually listen to an audiobook while I’m shopping, so I have that covered. I’ll try to update every hour I’m reading, but more likely it’ll be closer to every 2 hours. Maybe an hour and a half. As to *what* I’ll be reading, I have four things in the works right now:
- So Much For That by Lionel Shriver (review copy)
- Murder at the Vicarage by Agatha Christie (Kindle)
- Inner Harbor by Nora Roberts (audio)
- Characters, Emotion & Viewpoint: Techniques and Exercises for Crafting Dynamic Characters and Effective Viewpoints
I’ll almost definitely get Murder at the Vicarage and the Characters book finished. I’m only about 12 pages into So Much For That, so I’m not sure how suitable that’s going to turn out to be. We’ll see. I won’t finish Inner Harbor (I have about 4 1/2 hours left), but I will get a small chunk of it done. If the Shriver book doesn’t work out, I have lots of other lighter reads to choose from. Maybe I’ll finally start Westerfeld’s Uglies series. Or read some romances. Who knows, the world is my oyster!
Sorry, got a little excited there.
Also, I saw this on HLN this morning, and I thought it was a really nice story about the good a love of reading can do.
Happy reading!
I like your un-plan. I can’t help but make plans, but I’m keeping expectations low so that I can have fun!
